Style Me Saturday: Young Intern

Reader Madison wrote in because she is a 21 year old college student starting an internship. She needs to look professional and put together but also wants to look fun and age appropriate. She's 5'1", so pretty petite and tends to swim in a lot of dress pants. She's on a tighter budget, so doesn't want a lot of expensive pieces and isn't allowed to wear heels or open toe shoes (wedges are fine). Below are the outfits I put together for Madison, click on any of the images below for more information unless otherwise noted.

Note: I chose some dresses from Forever 21, which due to the fact that Madison is pretty young and also petite, I thought they would work for her. (As I'm sure you know, F21 dresses can often be pretty short for taller ladies.)

For this first look I would put a cami under the top - click HERE for the top. I think this top would also look great with the pencil skirt shown in the last set. These pants do come in petite but have limited sizes online. I also like THESE pants, which again - come in petite.

Pair this F21 dress with some simple accessories, a thin beige belt, and some pretty flats and I think it would be perfect for work.

Again, a simple sheath dress paired with simple accessories will give Madison a professional look.
