Rent The Runway!

Some of you may have already heard of the site Rent the Runway, as it's been mentioned in the New York Times, on Instyle.com, and in US Weekly to name a few.

Perhaps you have expensive taste on a not so expensive budget, or you like having a new dress for every occasion that pops up (*ahem - raises hand*). Whether it's a bachelorette party, a wedding, or your birthday - Rent the Runway has tons of great dresses from amazing designers that you can RENT instead of buy. Prices start at $50 (and go up to $350 depending on the original cost of the dress) and you can rent for either 4 or 8 days at a time. Since sizing varies from designer to designer, they will send you two sizes (depending on availability) at your request.

You may be wondering why on earth anyone would want to rent a dress for $50 when they could just go buy one (or two) at Forever 21 or somewhere else inexpensive? Well, you definitely could do that. But sometimes you fall in love with a dress from Rebecca Taylor, or that Herve Leger bandage dress you saw on Blake Lively is the ONLY dress that will do for your best friend's wedding (and sometimes, sadly, there's just no look 4 less alternative out there). If you can't afford the $300+ (or in the case of Herve Leger - $1000+) dress, why not rent it? You can reserve your dress for your event (they recommend reserving it about a week to two weeks before), the rental period begins on the day of delivery (which is the day you select on the reservation calendar), and you return the dress with a prepaid USPS label (SO easy).

If you have any further questions about this great service, you can view their FAQ's here.

Membership to Rent the Runway is by invitation only, so if you're interested in becoming a member, you can click HERE to do so. (They also rent accessories too!)

I haven't tried it yet, but I've definitely made a mental note about them. One of the Glamour bloggers did this and wrote a review about her experience, she said it was awesome.
