Closet Essentials: Black Pumps

The next item that I think is a closet essential (at least they are for me!) are black pumps. I have a pair of black patent pumps from Payless (featured here on The Today Show) which are no longer available, and a pair of peep toe pumps by Enzo Angiolini (shown below) which fulfill this essential part of my wardrobe.


I feel these are essential to any wardrobe (and you can go as simple or as embellished as you like, depending on your personal style) because they are classic and will last for several seasons if you take good care of them. I also like the versatility they offer as they are great to wear with jeans and a blazer for a night out on the town, or you can wear them in a more business like setting and still feel appropriate. I tend to gravitate toward simple styles when looking for black pumps, but I did some searching to give you a head start if you would like to add a classic black pump to your own wardrobe.
