Michael Kors Lace Cocktail Dress

This lace dress by Michael Kors originally retailed for a budget busting $1895 at Net-A-Porter, but is no longer available.

Although it has a few slight differences, this Ann Taylor lace dress is GORGEOUS (I like it even more than the MK version) and will give you the look for a fraction of the price (admittedly it's still pricey, but much MUCH less than the original). It retails for $198 and you can use the code 108023352 for 30% off (saving you even more) - thanks to Chloe for the code! If you want this dress, which in my opinion would be perfect for a rehearsal dinner, a small intimate less formal wedding, an evening out with your significant other, etc - click on the photo below to purchase. (I'm still trying to figure out how I could possibly justify this dress as I'm already married, and trust me - I'm not eating at fancy enough restaurants to warrant wearing a lace cocktail dress.)

I have a vintage lace dress with cap sleeves similar to this, and I think you can totally justify it! Because it's fitted, I wear mine often under pencil skirts to work as a blouse; with the longer skirts it just looks like a perfectly tucked in top, and with the shorter ones the lace peeks out from the hemline and is super cute.
