Favorite Things - Fashionably Inspired

Kara over at Fashionably Inspired is one of my favorite bloggers and is such a sweet person. She does a fabulous job of recreating entire celebrity looks for those on a budget (she also takes requests!!). I'd like to take a second to thank her for participating, several of her favorites are some of mine too! Here are her 10 favorite things of the moment...

1. Bath & Body Works Wallflower Holiday Scents



Nothing feels more homey than your house filled with the aroma that you have been baking all day! I love walking into my house to the scents of creamy nutmeg and eggnog. Such a small pleasure but it really gives me such Holiday cheer!

2. Chick Flicks

I have no guilt about this pleasure! If I am having a bad day or just need a pick me up, I cozy up under a blanket and watch my favorite girl movie! It is ironic too because I am not a super romantic lovey type of girl in my every day life, but I ADORE romantic comedies. I picked my top 3 to share:

3. Boots

I never get tired of boots. I look forward to the Fall/Winter seasons just to wear boots of all styles. Knee high boots, flat boots, suede boots, leather boots, booties… you name it, I adore it. These are a few of my FAVORITE pairs that I am rockin’ these days!

(I wasn’t lying when I said my boot collection was extensive… and possibly out of hand!) Now I am just lusting to find the perfect riding boot!

4. Canon Digital Rebel XSi


This is a serious WANT. I have never been into anything technical or electronic but This camera takes BEAUTIFUL pictures and now I have a good reason to take photograhs : my sweet little girl. I have never been good with my digital camera (who lost its life to a drowning death earlier this fall) but I am seriously lusting for this baby! I am hopefully Santa will bring me one for Christmas.

5. Red Velvet Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting


Pure HEAVEN. I can’t say enough about how delicious they are. I found the recipe in my Southern Living Cookbook and my family and friends have been raving about them ever since. It is worth an extra workout or 2 to indulge on these! You can click HERE to view the recipe on one of my blogs.

6. Scarves

Love Love Scarves. I love all the cute variety of scarves, the different textures and patterns. An outfit can never go wrong with a scarf… it is a perfect accessory! Here are a few I am loving:

7. Patterned Tights

Loving this trend. This can really turn up a dull outfit! I have been building a collection of an assortment of colors and patterns. Cannot get enough of these!



8. Philosophy Holiday Shower & Bath Gels


I love to give these as holiday gifts to my girlfriends. They are so cute and festive and the scents are yummy!!



9. Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne


My new favorite fragrance and MUST have for Christmas. It smells heavenly. Blackberry, damask rose and sandalwood. It even got the stamp of approval from my hubby!

10. My Family

I figured #10 needed to be my BIGGEST favorite!

I am sure that is a given for most but I just love my little family. My daughter is the highlight of my life and my husband is a wonderful person inside and out. I also can’t forget my lovable Golden Retriever Cooper. He is wild and crazy but he loves our family with all of him and we love him right back!
