Survivors Club Book Giveaway!

I know this blog is mainly about fashion, but yesterday I was contacted by Kat at WiredsetLLC about doing a giveaway of this book that I mentioned awhile ago on the blog (see post here). I loved this book so much that I thought it was a great idea, and I hope that the winner will enjoy it as much as I did.

Some info about the book:

Each second of the day, someone in America faces a crisis, whether it's a car accident, violent crime, serious illness, or financial trouble. Given the inevitability of adversity, we all wonder: Who beats the odds and who surrenders? Why do some people bound back and others give up? How can I become the kind of person who survives and thrives?

The fascinating, hopeful answers to these questions are found in THE SURVIVORS CLUB. In the tradition of Freakonomics and The Tipping Point, this book reveals the hidden side of survival by combining astonishing true stories, gripping scientific research, and the author's adventures inside the U.S. military's elite survival schools and the government's airplane crash evacuation course.

With THE SURVIVORS CLUB, you can also discover your own Survivor IQ through a powerful Internet-based test called the Survivor Profiler. Developed exclusively for this book, the test analyzes your personality and generates a customized report on your top survivor strengths.

There is no escaping life's inevitable struggles. But THE SURVIVORS CLUB can give you an edge when adversity strikes.

If you're interested in winning a copy of this book, please comment below with your most recent read before Tuesday, May 5th at noon CST. Residents of the US only please. I will announce the winner later that day. Good luck!

Uh, I could really use this book right now (am in some sort of crisis myself)... so I hope I'll win.

Currently reading "Blue Sky Dreams" for a class. Interesting...but for class. Would much rather read this book!

Oooo this book sounds awesome! Honestly, my most recent read was "The Bombshell Manual of Style." I absolutely would not recommend it. I was looking for a girly, frivolous bathtub boob, but even with those lowered expectations it was awful. What a waste of my life!

Sounds like a good book to have around.

My most recent read was "The Northern Clemency" by Philip Hensher and despite the accolades this book has received, I wasn't really a fan. I found myself skipping over dull bits parts and I did not connect with any of the characters much.

This sounds like a =fabulous= book, thank you!! I'm currently in the middle of The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and having just finished Study in Scarlett before this, I'm wondering how I never got around to reading these before, LOL!

I just read "The Blue Sweater" by Jaqueline Novogratz. The novel discusses how microcredit can transform the economy of the world by giving small loans to people (particularly women), who are living in poverty in Third World countries. The novels traces her life, how she got involved and the progress that has been made through microcredit.

I tried to read Cormac McCarthy's "The Road", but found myself wanting to jump off the nearest bridge so I gave up and am now reading Sense and Sensibility. I think I made a wise choice.
